Every year, TBTF celebrates the excellence and leadership of technology companies and individuals in the Tampa Bay area with its Industry Achievement Awards. TBTF is now calling for nominations for its 2010 Industry Achievement Awards. Deadline to submit a nomination is August 31. To nominate a company or individual you know, download and complete the Nominate Someone Form. To submit a nomination for your company or yourself, download and submit the Nomination Application. Award Categories - Emerging Technology Company of the Year: Recognizes a technology company headquartered in Tampa Bay that has been in business less than 5 years.
- Technology Company of the Year: Recognizes an established technology company that has been in business five or more years.
- Excellence in Service Award: Recognizes an organization providing professional services aimed at growing technology companies.
- Community Supporter of the Year Award: Recognizes an organization that has made a significant impact on advancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) initiatives and programs in the region.
- Rising Star Award: Recognizes a young leader under the age of 40 who has made a significant and positive impact on the region's technology community.
- Outstanding Leadership Award: Recognizes a demonstrated leader who has made a significant and positive impact on Tampa Bay's technology community.
Eligibility - Company must have operations in Tampa Bay (Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Hernando or Citrus counties) but may have headquarters elsewhere (except for Emerging Technology Company category).
- More than one nomination per company may be submitted but requires a separate, completed application per category.
- Nominations are open to all companies regardless of TBTF membership.
- Nominees may be in the corporate, non-profit, governmental or academia arenas.
- Emerging Technology Company nominees must be in business less than 5 years and based in Tampa Bay.
- Technology Company nominees must be in business 5 or more years.
- Rising Star nominees must be under the age of 40.
