Committees

Contribute. Be heard. Make a difference.

You can do all of these things and more by joining a TBTF volunteer committee. Participation does not take much time at all and committees are open to all employees of TBTF members.

Peer Network Steering Committees
Each of the TBTF Peer Networks is governed by a Steering Committee comprised of Network participants. These Committees meet at least twice per year to plan Network meetings including the selection of speakers/topics.  If you are currently participating in a Peer Network, inquire about opportunities to serve on the Steering Committee.

Awards Gala Committee
The Industry Achievement Awards Gala is held in November and draws approximately 400 attendees. The planning committee meets a handful of times and helps to come up with the theme, judges, decorations and other fun elements to add to the event.

For information about these committees, please contact Kimberly Wander.

The mission of Tech Start Tampa Bay is to create a better future for at-risk youth of Tampa Bay by providing inspiration, education and opportunities in technology fields. It is the charitable arm of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum. TechStart Tampa Bay harnesses the collective power of TBTF's 300+ member companies to equip the youth in our community to succeed in the workforce. By leveraging partnerships of corporate and non-for-profit organizations around the Tampa Bay area, we are able to manage and support programs that promote kids’ involvement in STEM studies, as well as provide access to technology for the youth in Tampa Bay.

Current initiatives include: Computer*rific, Technology is in IT...Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and Sports, Adopt a Club, Become a Mentor programs.

Tech Jam Committee
The Tech Jam Committee plans all aspects of this "Summer Party With A Purpose” - with all proceeds to benefit the youth in our community through the TBTF Foundation. In 2012, we had over 600 people enjoy an evening of networking, live music, food, an incredible silent auction, and the exclusive VIP Party. Be a part of the planning or help out at the event itself.
